Andy Yarbrough is in his fourth year as athletic trainer at Gallatin High School. He works with all 22 sports offered and its many athletes. His duties include the athletic healthcare administration at Gallatin High School by prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries of injuries that occur during participation in athletic activities.  These services are vital to the health and safety of student-athletes.  His position is made possible through the Sports Medicine Department of Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc.   
Yarbrough is a Certified Athletic Trainer and holds Tennessee Licensure to practice Athletic Training by the State of Tennessee Department of Health.  He is also a certified instructor for the American Heart Association.  His memberships include the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Tennessee Athletic Trainers’ Society, as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association.


He began his career at Charleston Southern University in December 2002.  While at Charleston Southern, Yarbrough had the opportunity to work with various NCAA Division I athletic teams including Football, Men’s Basketball, Baseball and Cross Country.  He also assisted in the supervision and education of athletic training students along with administrative and rehabilitative duties.
Yarbrough received his bachelor’s of science degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports medicine from Charleston Southern University in May of 2000. 
After completing his bachelor’s degree, Yarbrough attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, where he received his master’s degree in education with a teacher licensure in December of 2002. He served as a graduate assistant certified athletic trainer at Cumberland, where he was responsible for the health care of various athletic teams as well as acted as a liaison between physicians, coaches and student athletes.
Yarbrough is married to Molly Darling Yarbrough and they have one child.  They currently reside in Gallatin, Tennessee.
